MWBA hosts a public trail volunteer event once a month, where we gather to maintain, improve, and restore multi-use trails in the San Gabriel Mountains. Under the guidance of our experienced crew leads, MWBA volunteers spend the morning correcting drainage, rock armoring switchbacks, patching ruts, clearing land slides, and brushing back vegetation.

After a morning of satisfying work, we wrap up our projects and enjoy lunch together. Volunteering on trail is a great opportunity to give back to our community, meet like-minded outdoorspeople, and get a taste of trail stewardship – you can help us promote, protect, and maintain the outdoor experiences that only great trails can provide.
